Non-Executive Chairman
Marc Schneidman is Biotica’s Non-Executive Chairman. He joined Aquilo Partners, a life sciences investment bank, in 2009, having spent his career as an investor in the life science industry. Prior to Aquilo Partners, Marc spent 14 years as a portfolio manager at the Biotechnology Value Fund L.P. (BVF), a $600 million dedicated life science investment fund. Marc was responsible for investment selection, research analysis and portfolio management. Between 2006 and 2008, Marc was responsible for building and managing the private company investment portfolio. During his career Marc has worked closely with his portfolio companies on strategic development, corporate partnering and PIPEs.
Prior to joining BVF, Marc worked at PaineWebber Inc. in San Francisco as a Research Associate. Marc worked closely with the PaineWebber Development Corporation on alternative investment financing vehicles for public biotechnology companies. In addition to being Chairman of Biotica’s Board of Directors, Marc sits on the board of several private biotech companies.
Marc received a BA in biological sciences from the University of California at Santa Barbara and a JD from Santa Clara University.
