Matthew Gregory, PhD

Matthew Gregory manages the intellectual property and collaborative research on Biotica’s internal projects, a role he has held since 2005. Dr Gregory joined Biotica in 2003, having been involved with the company since 1999 when he was at the University of Cambridge working on production of novel rapamycin analogues and genetic manipulation of the biosynthetic pathway (work that laid the foundation for Biotica's nPT-mTOR project) in Professor Peter Leadlay’s group. Dr Gregory has over 10 years of experience in actinomycete genetics, is co-author or inventor on over 25 European or US patents, patent applications or publications and holds a BSc in Biochemistry and Genetics and a PhD in Genetics from the University of Nottingham.
