Christine Martin, D.Phil
Senior Director, Molecular Biology
Christine Martin has worked extensively on the biosynthesis of natural products. She gained a D.Phil under Professors Baldwin and Sutherland (Oxford, UK), studying penicillin biosynthesis. Dr Martin then joined the groups of Professors Leadlay and Staunton (Cambridge, UK) where she worked on engineering the biosynthetic pathways of a number of polyketides. Since 1999 Christine has continued this work at Biotica where she is currently Senior Director of Molecular Biology. She is (co)author/inventor on over 40 scientific papers and patents.
